'Jurassic World' new short film checks in with a dinosaur-inhabited Earth

Life, uh, finds a way to a dinosaur-inhabited Earth in this new short.

The eight-minute film, Battle at Big Rock, which debuted on Monday, takes place one year after the events of the last film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Written by Jurassic World director/writer Colin Trevorrow and Pacific Rim: Uprising writer Emily Carmichael, and directed by Trevorrow (who also wrote Fallen Kingdom), the film is set in Big Rock National Park, located near the Lockwood Manor, where everything went down in the last film.

Mild spoiler alert, dinosaurs and humans are sharing the same world thanks to the shenanigans of Fallen Kingdom, and this short film tracks an encounter with a family of four in a trailer — a bit of a throwback to The Lost World, perhaps? Read more...
