SAVE 75%: You can get your first month of Disney+ for just $1.99 (normally $7.99/month) in honor of Disney+ Day. The offer is valid from Thursday, Sept. 8 at 12 a.m. ET through Monday, Sept. 19 and open to new and eligible returning subscribers.
Having She-Hulk or Star Wars FOMO? Need a Pixar fix? Gunning to add the Hocus Pocus sequel to this year's Halloween movie marathon lineup? Here's your chance to hop on the Disney+ bandwagon for cheap.
Starting Thursday, Sept. 8 at 12 a.m. ET through Monday, Sept. 19, new and returning subscribers can get their first month of Disney+ for only $1.99 — a 75% discount on its usual monthly rate of $7.99. The promotion comes as part of the streaming giant's second annual Disney+ Day celebrations on Sept. 8, a virtual event featuring new premieres and perks for subscribers, which coincides with D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, Calif. this week.
Those special perks for members go live on Sept. 8 at 3 a.m. ET. Highlights include:
-
Special access to a curated collection of shopDisney merch
-
Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney World Resort offers
-
A free six-month trial of Nat Geo Digital
-
Six free months of an Uber One membership, plus $25 off your first Uber Eats order
This is a rare chance to save on the Disney+ membership and the closest thing you'll get to a free trial after the streamer did away with it in June 2020. Disney+ last offered this $2 introductory deal in for Disney+ Day 2021, which was held on its second birthday in November.
Your membership will renew at the normal $7.99/month rate as soon as the month is up, so be sure to cancel it ahead of time if you want to avoid that charge.
